Liberated Russian arrives at temporary home. An olderly liberated Russian forced laborer is assisted from an American truck April 30, 1945, at Ledenscheid, Germany, where he will temperarily live at a former German army camp until he can be returned to his homeland under the Allied displaced persons plan. The camp is now under the supervision of a Military Government unit of the Ninth U.S. Army. All of the liberated persons of this truck are carrying their personal possessions with them. Some tried to bring firewood for protections against the cold but U.S. soldiers told them it would be unnecessary.
