These pictures were supposed to bridge 1000 years! Berlin, Germany....When Adolf Hitler appeared on the balcony of the chancellery (as at right) and told his fanatical followers that the Nazi rule would extend over a period of one thousand years, they believed him. And yet, as shown in the photo at left, the Mazi rule ended in ruin for all of Germany after twelve years. Now only no cheering crowds and no mustachioed Hitler.
