Nazi prisoners guarded by U.S. soldier. German prisoners taken by troops of the Third U.S. Army in Schillingen, Germany, are guarded by a soldier of the 94th Infantry Division prior to capture of the town. Enemy shells were bursting outside the building when this picture was made. Schillingen, approximately 10 miles southeast of Trier, was seized March 15, 1945, in an eastward drive against enemy forces traped in the Saarland between converging pincers of the American Third and Seventh Armies.
