A German clerk types the necessary information on the discharge form of Fritz Reidel. The form is numbered 000001 to signify that Reidel is the first prisoner-of-war to be discharged from the camp at Plauen, Germany. Discharges at the time this photograph was taken were being given only to unarmed prisoners-of-war, those comparable to the army service forces.
