'Montgomery's new offensive in the west. The new offensive south-east of Nijmegen which Field Marshal Montgomery launched on Thursday (Feb.8th) is making good progress. British and canadian troops are fighting in the outer defenses of the Siegfried Line. This one of the first pictures of the new offensive. Photo shows: The glow in the sky during rhe RAF's 'softening up' of positions on the Bruk-Nijmegen sector on the night of the 7th February, preceding our big attack.'
