War is over, killing goes on.
1945
War is over, killing goes on. Thick smoke pouring from damaged farm building, temporarily left by the owners, indicates another playingground of the nice little kiddies. Many buildings, woods and other valuable properties have been damaged by this reckless play. In Limburg boys found a canon in a small copse of wood, apparently overlooked when the battlefield was cleared. The gun was loaded, they fired it and the shell exploded in the market place of a village nearby. Inexpertly loading it again from a pile of shells lying near, the gun exploded and dangerously wounded two of the boys.
