Bombs bursts during the great daylight attack by Ninth U.S. Air Force B-26 Marauders on the port of IJmuiden, Holland, nearly obscure the new E-boat pens (top center) and the work shops around it, while other sticks of bombs careen into the old E-boats pens (right center). Besides damage to boat pens and work shops, three barges were sunk. In May, 1943, Marauders went to IJmuiden without fighter escort and suffered total loss.
